Ex news channel staffer among dacoits killed in Karachi



KARACHI: Three alleged dacoits with one of them identified as a former news channel employee were killed fighting cops here on Wednesday, Samaa reported.
“The road agents were stripping the citizens of their wallets, cash, mobile phones, etc. near Moti Mahal stop in Gulshan-e-Iqbal when police surprised them with a shootout. The dacoits dropped dead after taking fatal hits,” our correspondent said.
Senior police officers reached the encounter scene and lauded the valiant cops.
“Talha, one the deceased dacoits, turned out to be a former news channel staffer. He was fired from the organization two years back after being found involved in criminal activities,” an official told Samaa.
A bag full of booty was also recovered from the site.
