KARACHI: Syed Qaim Ali Shah submitted his resignation as Sindh Chief Minister to Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad on Wednesday, Samaa reported. According to our correspondent, the outgoing chief minister visited Governor House and handed his resignation to the governor. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership had decided to make changes in Sindh cabinet including the chief minister in a meeting co-chaired by former President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Dubai. KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader and Karachi Mayor-designate Waseem Akhtar made confessions of unarming police as part of conspiracy on May 12, 2007, the day Karachi witnessed a series of violent clashes between rival political activists on arrival of the then deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Samaa reported. KARACHI: Unknown gunmen on motorbikes opened fire on a security vehicle in Karachi on Tuesday, killing two security personnel The gun attack took place near Parking Plaza in Saddar. According to police, unidentified armed men riding motorcycles targeted two personnel of a sensitive agency near Saddar Parking Plaza and escaped. The injured personnel were rushed to hospital, where they succumbed to their wounds. PARIS: Police killed two armed men who had taken hostages at a church near Rouen in northern France. The men were said to be armed with knives.
