Addressing a crowded press conference in Karachi’s Defence area, Kamal, a former mayor of Karachi, severely criticised MQM leader Altaf Hussain and his policies. He was speaking to media persons along with another ex-MQM leader Anees Qaimkhani, hours after arriving in Pakistan after three years. Seven killed, 15 injured in Lahore blast LAHORE: A powerful explosion in an upscale shopping area of Lahore killed at least seven people and left more than 15 others injured on Thursday, Samaa reported. According to initial reports, the blast occurred outside a restaurant in a shopping plaza in Defence Block-Z. The blast in the busy market was so powerful that it damaged a portion of the building and shattered windowpanes of several nearby buildings. Shops and vehicles parked near the plaza were also affected. Rescue teams and police rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to hospitals where medics confirmed that seven people have died.
