Petition filed in SHC against Shahid Afridi

KARACHI: A petition was filed in the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday, seeking action against Pakistani Twenty20 captain Shahid Afridi for his controversial statements in India.
The petition, filed by Amir Advocate, pleaded that the court order Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to initiate action against Shahid Afridi for his interview in India.
Floored by the Indian reception, Afridi told media in Kolkata:“let me tell you that we (Pakistani players) were more loved by Indians than the fans back home.”
Shahid Afridi has damaged Pakistan’s image by making such remarks in an enemy state, it said.
